Biography
Rabita Sharfuddin is an associate in Rochon Genova’s class actions practice group. She has experience litigating complex consumer protection, product liability, securities and negligence class actions. She regularly appears before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and assists with Court of Appeal for Ontario matters. Her experience includes internal investigations, Ontario Securities Commission and British Columbia Securities Commission matters, and professional disciplinary proceedings. Prior to joining Rochon Genova, she practiced at national full-service law firms representing corporations, directors, officers, and individuals in commercial disputes. She volunteers with the Pro Bono Ontario Free Legal Advice Hotline and mentors at Lincoln Alexander School of Law. She holds a Juris Doctor (cum laude) from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management from Carleton University.
