Vincent Genova

Biography

Vincent is a founding partner at Rochon Genova specializing in litigation, catastrophic injuries, personal injury, class actions, disability, aviation, municipal, automobile and insurance law. His expertise spans fatalities, serious brain and spinal cord injuries, and chronic pain cases. He heads the firm's aviation law group, assisting plane crash victims and families. Vincent has defended two national class actions in Ontario, British Columbia, and Alberta for Canada's largest privately held payday loan company. He holds a B.A. in Criminology and Sociology from the University of Toronto (1984) and an LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario (1987). He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1989 and completed the Advanced Mediation Workshop at Harvard Law School in 2004. He obtained a Certified Specialist designation in Civil Litigation in 2003 and served as Deputy Judge, Ontario Superior Court Small Claims Division from 2005 to 2015. He taught civil procedure at Osgoode Hall Law School for three years beginning in 2014. He has appeared on Global News, Goldhawk Live, and CBC Newsworld. He is fluent in English and Italian and is currently learning Spanish.
